The Pot calls the Kettle Black!

Here is an interesting story. Jim Walters has filed a lawsuit against another company for shoddy work and breech of contract. It's a very strange situation when a company that does this kind of stuff everyday sues another for the same reasons. I particularly like the second paragraph. Click the read more link below to read the article. Don't forget to leave your comments!

Dream Home to Nightmare!

I purchased my home from the Jackson, Tn. office of Jim Walter Homes in March of 2005. I am still not in my home. I signed all the forms, contract, arbitration agreement, warranty agreements and such not knowing that Jim Walter Homes would lean on these agreements so heavily or even need the arbitration agreement. I was told by the salesman I would be in my house in 3 months. One week after the sale I had done everything I was told to do by JWH. The driveway was down, the well was drilled and electricity was established. A construction manager came out a few days later. He was rude, talked down to my wife, and acted as if he didn't want to deal with a woman. We requested that he not be allowed back on our property. A few days later another construction manager showed up from Jonesboro, Ark.. He was given the necessary information that was needed and he promised to begin construction soon. Two and a half months later construction had still not begun. We complained and threatened to back out. A week later a brick layer was sent out to lay the foundation. This was, in my opinion, the only part of this house that was done correctly. He was done after about 3 days. It was another month before any framers showed up to begin building. The framers consisted of an elderly man and his two sons. They worked for about a week and basically got to a point where the sub-floor was laid. They then disappeared for 2 weeks. During this time, naturally, it rained and they had left all the lumber uncovered and exposed along with the press board sub-floor that had been put down. When they reappeared it was only the two young sons. They worked for 2 days and then they were gone for another 2 weeks.
